The Equal-i-zer hitch is one solution for two very big issues when towing a trailer and that is weight distribution and sway control.

Weight Distribution
When you hitch your trailer to your vehicle, that added weight causes your vehicle to sink in the rear due to the added weight and raise in the front removing critical control and stopping power. The problem associated with driving a trailer without weight distribution include loss of steering control, braking difficulties, and hitch dragging.
The Equal-i-zer hitch solves such issues by providing proper weight distribution. It creates a bridge between the tow vehicle and trailer, helping them to work together like one unit instead of two. With the Equal-i-zer hitch the trailers’ weight can be safely and easily distributed to all axles of the vehicle.

Sway Control

When it comes to sway control the Equal-i-zer hitch’s superior design makes it the best performing sway control hitch on the market. The Integrated 4-Point Sway Control provides unmatched resistance to your trailers attempts to sway in cross winds, passing traffic and rapid lane changes. The patented Equal-i-zer hitch head adds two points of rotational friction to resist trailer sway. The rotational friction sway control is activated by downward pressure from the trailer tongue and upward pressure on the spring arms. Those same spring arms provide an additional 2 points of friction against the spring arm brackets.

Trailer Compadability
The Equal-i-zer hitch works with travel trailers, boat trailers, trailers with surge brakes, utility trailers, horse trailers, cargo haulers, pole (or single) tongue trailers, and many other trailer types. The standard brackets can accomodate frames sizes up to 6″.

Super Easy To Use

Back the hitch ball under the coupler like you always have.

Couple and lock the trailer.

Use the tongue jack to raise the trailer tongue and tow vehicle until you can swing the arms into place over the trailer brackets.

Pin the arms into place, and retract the jack.

Equal-i-zer Hitch Engineering

1. Sway Control Brackets:
Rigid trailer attachments work with friction sway control to combat trailer sway. Brackets are height adjustable to control the amount of weight distribution tension on the spring arms.

2. Spring Arms:
The spring arms serve two purposes. When raised onto the sway control brackets they transfer trailer tongue weight evenly to the tow vehicle. They also work with the friction sway control to reduce trailer sway.

3. Downward Pressure:
Downward pressure from trailer tongue increases friction sway control. Trailer hitch ball mounts here.

4. Upward Pressure:

Sway control brackets distribute weight by maintaining upward pressure on spring arms. The amount of pressure on the spring arms is a factor of trailer tongue weight and vehicle suspension. The friction sway control utilizes this pressure to control trailer sway.

5. Friction Sway Control:
Friction is enhanced by downward pressure from trailer tongue and upward pressure on spring arms. These opposing pressures come together to create an unequaled sway control system.

The Quickbite Trailer Coupler uses an Automatic Dual Jaw Locking System to couple your trailer to the vehicle making it the easiest and safest hitching system ever built. When the vehicle’s ball enters the trailer coupler, a set of inner jaws automatically close around the ball. These jaws are then captured by a torsion spring loaded locking outer jaw making it all but impossible for the ball to escape. When exiting, the user releases the locking pin, lifts the outer jaw and simply drives away. This unique system eliminates the need to raise your trailer above the ball which is less stressful for the user and eliminates coupler/ball hang-ups that plague owners.

The Quickbite Safety Coupler utilizes a 5″ horizontal and increased vertical capture area for the ball mount. There is no need to have the coupler vertically or horizontally lined up with the ball. When the majority of the ball is within the capture area, it rides its way into the internal jaws which then automatically close and lock. The system is also able to couple the trailer at vertical and horizontal angles.

The photos below show the Quickbite Safety Coupler’s patented ” ALIGNMENT ROD SYSTEM”. These fiberglass rods serve as an optional sighting device for the driver in regard to the location of the Quickbite Trailer Coupler to the ball mount. Their unique location in the jaw tips notify the driver of closure, because as the jaws move together so do the rods. These telescopic rods extend up to four feet high and are easily removed for storage. They come standard with every QuickBite Coupler.

Quickbite’s design makes it all but impossible for the trailer coupler to come loose and impossible to move the trailer unless it is properly locked. Therefore, you no longer have to worry if you have a good connection or not. Over the years hundreds of thousands of accidents have happened on the highways because a trailer coupler disconnects prematurely from the tow vehicle resulting in major injuries and sometimes even fatalities. A major factor in Quickbite’s design process was to not only ensure the safety of your cargo, but your own safety as well as the safety of the other motorists on the highway

The Quickbite Coupler is available in a variety of models to fit almost any one’s needs when it comes to making the right connection. We are also constantly adding new models to our lines as the towing industry comes to us with their needs to address both manufacturing OEM trailers and aftermarket trailer couplers. You can rest assured that every new Quickbite Trailer Coupler model addresses both the safety and the convenience of today’s towing concerns.

Equal-i-zer® offers a unique two-in-one design that combines weight distribution with sway control in one easy to use unit. The simple design has a built-in sway control to help minimize risk of sway problems caused by passing vehicles, cross winds, and other towing hazards. Equal-i-zer® is safe, simple, and easy to use.

Towing a trailer doesn’t need to be a tense and fearful experience. It doesn’t have to be difficult. It doesn’t have to be filled with safety concerns and woes. The right hitch makes all the difference. It can turn a good trailer into a great trailer…and a great experience. Simply put—the Equal-i-zer® is the most affordable and best way to trailer.

The engineering behind the idea

The Rapid Hitch – This is the revolutionary aluminum adjustable ball mount that has taken the hitch world by storm. No ball mount is more versatile or easier to use than the Rapid Hitch. Its adjustability allows you to tow easily and safely by keeping your trailer parallel to the ground, maintaining a more stable towing experience.

The Rapid Hitch is made of an aluminum super alloy that will NEVER RUST! The aluminum looks great by itself, so there is no need for paint or chrome that can chip and peel. To keep the shine, you simply need to polish the hitch from time to time and you will have a high gloss surface that looks brand new.

rapid hitch

Another benefit to this aluminum super alloy is that it is light and surprisingly strong. It only weighs 15 lbs. with the greaseless ball option making it easy to handle and adjust. It is V5 certified with a strength rating of 10,000 lbs. and 1,500 tongue weight with the 2 5/16″ steel ball. The Rapid Hitch is built for the long haul…the real world where ease of use and strength really count.

The Rapid Hitch is available in three drop sizes – the 3 1/2″ drop/rise, the 5 1/2″ drop/rise, and a full 10″ drop. The 10″ drop is recommended for lifted vehicles and has adjustment options from approximately 4″ of drop to the full 10″ drop. The standard 5 1/2″ drop/rise is designed to fit all factory standard pick-up trucks. However, we have discovered that in some instances the standard Rapid Hitch will drag on the ground in a dip, so we have added the SUV Rapid Hitch to help eliminate this situation. The shorter SUV Rapid Hitch works best with most light trucks, ½ ton trucks, and SUV’s. A quick and easy way to judge what size drop you need is to measure from the ground up to the inside top of your 2″ receiver tube. If the measurement is 20″ or less – the 3 1/2″ drop is for you. If the measurement is between 20″ and 24″ you need the 5 1/2″ drop. If you measure more than 24″ you will need the 10″ drop. The tongue heights of your trailers and the suspension on your truck play a part, but in most cases these measurements will give you what you need. If you are unsure, please take your truck to your local dealer for advice.

The Rapid Hitch is the perfect hitch for anyone who tows multiple trailers. You can flip the double ball over, change the drop to a rise, or adjust the height of the drop all by simply removing the hitch pin and putting it back in place. With the easy height adjustment you can make sure you are keeping your trailer level. With the 2″ and 2 5/16″ ball combo, you cover most trailers on the road today. We also have a combination ball that includes the 1 7/8″ and 2″ ball. The 3 common ball sizes (i.e. 1 7/8″, 2″ & 2 5/16″) are available individually if desired. The various balls are easily changed by removing a hidden pin which attaches the ball to the ball housing. (See instructions for further details.)

When only the best will do…you need the Rapid Hitch – The easiest to use and most versatile ball mount system available today.

All Rapid Hitch sizes have a 10,000 lb. GTWR and 1,500 lb. tongue weight – limited by ball capacity.

Standard double ball features 2″ and 2 5/16″ balls.

3 Models available: the SUV 3 1/2″ drop/rise, the 5 1/2″ drop/rise, and the 10″ drop.

The standard Rapid Hitch has 11″ over-all vertical adjustment, 5 1/2″ rise or drop.

Fully tested and cerified by an independent lab.

Fits a 2″ standard receiver hitch.

Many optional balls available including:

1 7/8″ x 2″ combo
