Weight Distribution
When you hitch your trailer to your vehicle, that added weight causes your vehicle to sink in the rear due to the added weight and raise in the front removing critical control and stopping power.  The problem associated with driving a trailer without weight distribution include loss of steering control, braking difficulties, and hitch dragging.
The Equal-i-zer hitch solves such issues by providing proper weight distribution. It creates a bridge between the tow vehicle and trailer, helping them to work together like one unit instead of two. Sway Control

When it comes to sway control the Equal-i-zer hitch’s superior design makes it the best performing sway control hitch on the market.  The Integrated 4-Point Sway Control provides unmatched resistance to your trailers attempts to sway in cross winds, passing traffic and rapid lane changes.  The patented Equal-i-zer hitch head adds two points of rotational friction to resist trailer sway.  The rotational friction sway control is activated by downward pressure from the trailer tongue and upward pressure on the spring arms. Those same spring arms provide an additional 2 points of friction against the spring arm brackets.

The Quickbite Safety Coupler utilizes a 5″ horizontal and increased vertical capture area for the ball mount. There is no need to have the coupler vertically or horizontally lined up with the ball. When the majority of the ball is within the capture area, it rides its way into the internal jaws which then automatically close and lock. The system is also able to couple the trailer at vertical and horizontal angles.

The photos below show the Quickbite Safety Coupler’s patented ” ALIGNMENT ROD SYSTEM”. These fiberglass rods serve as an optional sighting device for the driver in regard to the location of the Quickbite Trailer Coupler to the ball mount. Their unique location in the jaw tips notify the driver of closure, because as the jaws move together so do the rods. These telescopic rods extend up to four feet high and are easily removed for storage. They come standard with every QuickBite Coupler.

The Rapid Hitch is available in three drop sizes – the 3 1/2″ drop/rise, the 5 1/2″ drop/rise, and a full 10″ drop. The 10″ drop is recommended for lifted vehicles and has adjustment options from approximately 4″ of drop to the full 10″ drop. The standard 5 1/2″ drop/rise is designed to fit all factory standard pick-up trucks. However, we have discovered that in some instances the standard Rapid Hitch will drag on the ground in a dip, so we have added the SUV Rapid Hitch to help eliminate this situation. The shorter SUV Rapid Hitch works best with most light trucks, ½ ton trucks, and SUV’s. A quick and easy way to judge what size drop you need is to measure from the ground up to the inside top of your 2″ receiver tube. If the measurement is 20″ or less – the 3 1/2″ drop is for you.  If the measurement is between 20″ and 24″ you need the 5 1/2″ drop.  If you measure more than 24″ you will need the 10″ drop.  The tongue heights of your trailers and the suspension on your truck play a part, but in most cases these measurements will give you what you need.  If you are unsure, please take your truck to your local dealer for advice.
