The TireMinder RV Tire Pressure Monitoring System starts with 4 tire sensors and you can add up to 22 total sensors to your system. (I would love to see that RV!) The unique features of the TireMinder system include an incredibly small monitor at just 2″ wide by 3-1/4″ tall along with the functional windshield mount that is included. This system also has the ability to monitor not only tire pressures but also tire temperatures. This will be very helpful to recognize a wheel bearing issue or perhaps a hung brake caliper before a blow out occurs. TireMinder is one of the only systems you can change the tire transmitter batteries yourself without having to send it back to the manufacturer or purchase new units when the batteries fail. Another great feature is the ability to charge the monitor with a 9 hour runtime and free up an accessory power port for other devices while traveling. With all of these great features it’s no wonder why this system has quickly become a favorite amongst RV’ers. The system includes the monitor, a heavy duty/multi-angle mounting bracket, 4 screw on pressure/temperature transmitters (TMT400C), 12 v car charger, 4 extra lithium batteries, 4 anti-theft locks with screwdriver.

The next generation Doran Tire Pressure Monitor product line features the most innovative system of its kind on the market today. Reliable, durable, accurate, attractive and easy to install–Doran has taken tire pressure monitoring systems to a new level of simplicity and sophistication.

Basic concept of tire pressure monitoring

Designed from the ground up, extensive customer research has aided us in designing tire pressure monitoring systems for use on RVs, trucks, trailers, fifth wheels, towed vehicles, buses and motorcycles. Our next generation tire pressure monitoring system alerts the driver with both an audible and a visual alert of low tire pressure, high pressure and/or fast leak situations in up to 36 wheel positions. For trucks, we have even included a built-in memory to let you know the exact time and day when and which tire had an alert. The Doran 360TM tire pressure monitoring system is engineered to be both simple to operate and to install. No special tools are required. In fact, it is as easy as simply programming the monitor, plugging in the monitor, (or hard wiring it) and screwing on the sensors to the valve stems.

How Do Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems Work?

With the Doran 360™ tire pressure monitoring systems, the sensors are continuously reading analyzing and communicating signals to the monitor about the air pressure in each tire.

With each signal, the air pressure reading is transmitted to the display located nearest the driver. This wireless signal will read up to 130 feet (line of sight) for the truck and RV systems and up to 35 feet (line of sight) for the motorcycle system under most conditions. The systems are designed to do all of this without the use of any additional external antennas!

The tire pressure monitoring system display receives this signal and instantly compares the current tire pressure reading with the programmed baseline pressure level. When the Doran tire pressure monitor sensor sends a signal to the monitor detecting a 12.5% difference in tire pressure from the baseline pressure, both a visual and an audible signal are transmitted. With a flashing tire position light, an audible beep, as well as the flashing tire pressure, the operator knows which tire(s) is/are in need of attention. If the tire pressure drops to 25% below the automatically set pressure level, the operator will receive another audible sound (beeping). The Doran tire pressure monitor also includes a “Fast Leak” alert to notify you if a tire that is losing air quickly. The “Fast Leak” alarm will be activated when the tire pressure drops by 2.8 psi in less than 12 seconds. In addition, we have even incorporated an optional high pressure alert to warn you in situations where the pressure in your tires have increased by more than 25% above the baseline pressure and may be overheating.

If you have a metal skinned coach/trailer or have a longer application, a tire pressure monitoring system signal booster may be needed to prevent signal loss. For these types of applications, we have three available accessories to assist with boosting a signal: an interior signal booster (model #3624), exterior signal booster (model #3625) and a remote antenna kit (model #3623).

Radio signals have restrictions placed by law, and the Doran tire pressure monitor systems comply with all US FCC and Canadian regulations guidelines.

Green means good™!

For the RV and truck tire pressure monitoring systems, with just one glance at the display, you don’t need to review all of your tires’ positions to ensure that your tires are operating properly. Just look for the green light, and if it is illuminated, your system is working and your tires are properly inflated.

Being a direct tire pressure monitoring system, the Doran tire pressure monitor system generates more accurate warnings and can alert the driver if the pressure in any one tire falls below a pre-determined baseline level due to either gradual or rapid air loss.

Reliability is the key to the Doran 360 Tire Pressure Monitoring System:

The Doran 360™ tire pressure monitoring system has been designed and tested to handle the extreme conditions of the road and changing weather conditions from coast-to-coast. Reliability of the communication signal is the key to all Doran tire pressure monitor systems. A strong signal and sensitivity to the communication requires a unique engineering design to capture the signal under all types of conditions, including outside electronic interference, weather, and other vehicles. As with cell phones, signal interference is always a possibility, but the Doran 360™has been designed with filters and redundant signals to ensure greater reliability at all times and under most conditions.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a silent killer that can be present when we travel, camp or vacation in RVs. No matter where you encounter CO, within minutes, high concentrations of this odorless, colorless and invisible gas can become lethal. Having a CO alarm that is listed for use on Recreational Vehicles in good working order is an essential part of safety. MTI Industries, maker of the Safe-T-Alert™ brand of CO alarms recommends you replace all old CO Detectors and any CO Alarms over 5 years old.

“Carbon Monoxide Alarms have now been in use in the RV market for over 15 years and any detector/alarm put into service over 5 years ago has seen the end of its useful life. It needs to be immediately replaced by an alarm using the latest technology,” stated Jeff Wisniewski, Vice President for MTI. “It is easy to check. Any unit that is labeled a Detector not an Alarm is over 5 years old and should be replaced. On units labeled Carbon Monoxide Alarm look for the date code on the unit to see when it was produced or when it should be replaced. All Safe-T-Alert models SA-4, SA-5, SA-50 and 50-541/542 are over 10 years old and should be discarded and replaced immediately,” continued Wisniewski.

MTI recommends you consider this RV Safe T.R.I.P. Tip:
· Test and inspect all CO alarms installed on RVs weekly and each time the RV is taken out of storage. Replace alarms that do not work.

· Replace all CO alarms that are more than five years old. The date code is usually on the back of the alarm.

· Install CO alarms approved for use on RVs when replacing old units. Add alarms on older RVs.

· Prevent accidents by being aware of the potential sources of CO in and around your RV. Never ignore or disable a sounding alarm.

TireStat™ Configuration: MA-TPMS-10HT-2S2D-4S

This 10-tire commercial grade TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is geared toward Trucks, Trailers, Buses, Off-Road, Construction, Utility Vehicles and Motor-Coaches. Allowing Fleet, RV and commercial vehicle owners the ability to maximize fuel economy while improving tire wear in an easy to install and utilize system.

TireStat™ enhances the overall safety of the vehicle by detecting under-inflated, over-inflated, over-heated and rapid leaking tires. The system provides a unique package of features which allows its users to increase fuel economy while maximizing tire casing and new tire wear. All elements of TireStat™ focus on making the system the easiest to install, the most effective for driver usage as well as fleet maintenance. The light weight TireStat™ sensors are mounted on the valve stem and allow air to flow directly through the sensor to the tire without removal, minimizing time and costs without losing sensors. The system is programmed to detect low pressure, high pressure, high temperature and rapid leaks using an exclusive rechargeable, Handheld Monitor which also functions as a portable tire gauge. All TireStat™ systems include an easily mounted Universal Transceiver which assures continuous transmission of the wireless signals without the inconvenience of installing multiple antennae.

TireStat™ features include an optional anti-theft locking mechanism for the sensors which are housed in a rugged nylon encasement with a five (5) to seven (7) year battery life. Sensors are designed for harsh environments and operate in all weather conditions within a pressure range of 15 PSI to 150 PSI. In addition to offering status review of real-time tire status, the monitors display icons which graphically indicate type & location of tire alarms visually and audibly.

TireStat™ warning levels are indicated based on conditions which affect the tire pressure or temperature – it is very important that a TPMS system is able to accurately detect and indicate these conditions in order to provide the user with alert conditions which may create a potential tire failure. TireStat™ allows the user to simply program their warning alert levels by axle position to provide the best management of their fuel and tire costs.

Features

INNOVATION IN SAFETY – The System utilizes an innovative externally mounted valve-stem sensor, allowing for easy, low cost installation and use. The Portable Handheld Monitor provides audible and visual alerts when a tire condition is indicated – all tire conditions are specific to individual tire positions. The system alerts with an indicated icon for the following conditions: Low Tire Pressure, High Tire Pressure, Tire Pressure Watch (Rapid Leak), High Temperature.

The exclusive design allows the user to program warning levels and enables the air in the tire to be refilled directly through the built in valve stem without removing the sensor, providing less distraction for the driver.

TIRE WEAR – Running inappropriate tire pressures can cause rapid or poor tire wear – statistics show that a 20% under-inflated tire can reduce new tread life by approximately 25% and that 90% of tire failures are caused by under-inflation. Additionally, tires that are under-inflated by 20% lose approximately 30% of the life of the casing and may prevent the feet from achieving multiple retreads.

The Portable Handheld Monitor makes maintaining proper tire inflation even easier as you can monitor the tire pressure as you fill the tire!

FUEL ECONOMY – Under-inflation by 20 percent causes an estimated fuel mileage drop of 2% – this can add up to thousands of dollars in additional fuel if the proper tire pressure is not maintained. TireStat™ allows the feet to program the level that the system will alarm for low or high pressure so the pressure can be maintained to assure safety and increased fuel economy.

SIMPLE INSTALLATION – Sensors are preprogrammed for tire position and mounted directly on the valve stem. The user easily programs TireStat™ for pressure threshold levels and temperature alert levels. The sensor can be secured using 3M Loctite® thread locking compound which is provided with the TireStat™ system or an optional locking mechanism – this not only reduces theft, but also assures an air-tight seal to prevent leakage.

The Portable Handheld Monitor has an easily readable LCD display and can be conveniently mounted on the dashboard and re-charged using the cigarette lighter adapter, provided with the system. The Universal Transceiver (included with the system) is a waterproof enclosed receiver and transmitter that boasts the signal from the tires without the need to install external antennas. Making TireStat™ the most cost effective, complete and flexible tire monitoring system in one package.

EASE OF USE & MAINTENANCE – A tire management system is only effective if the driver is able to easily use it. With TireStat™, there is no sensor removal required to add or delete air which passes directly through the valve stem mounted sensor. This minimizes the chance to lose sensors and eliminates the loss of air which is evident with other sensor systems. Additionally, the programmable sensors have a five (5) to seven (7) year battery life and are contained in a rugged, solid compound filled nylon encasement.

AFFORDABILITY – Mobile Awareness believes that safety should not be prohibited by cost. The TireStat™ Tire Pressure Monitoring System is priced to allow rapid return on initial investment while improving the vehicle safety environment and comes with a One Year Limited Warranty.
