Hidden Installation

Completely out of sight, The Air Force One operating unit is installed under the hood of the towed vehicle. A small actuator is mounted on the brake arm of the towed vehicle above the foot pedal so it is always out of the way and completely out sight.

Always ready to tow

With Air Force One, attach your AFO jumper and you are ready to tow. There is no set up in the towed vehicle and, because AFO uses the power brakes there is no need for adjustments. AFO will brake the car just as you would if you were driving it: gently, efficiently, and truly 100% proportionate.  Best of all it is all automatic.

Fits EVERY tow vehicle

Air Force One fits every tow vehicle, including the newest “live” pedal cars.  In addition, the Air Force One is easy to transfer to a new towed vehicle . Many of the semi-permanent systems today will not work on ALL towed vehicles or they require special parts for certain towed vehicles. Not Air Force One, Air Force One is absolutely a universal fit for every towed vehicle.

Power brakes active in the towed vehicle
Air Force One uses a patented process to create vacuum in the towed vehicle’s power brake system. This process energizes the power brakes for the towed vehicle without the engine running. Air Force One does not require an electronic pump, so battery drain cannot be an issue.  In fact, there are no moving parts to wear out and no circuit boards to go bad.  Air Force One will be the last supplemental brake you will ever buy.

Truly proportionate braking
Progressive is good, proportionate is better.  Using the coach air is the only way to create true 100% proportionate braking effort. Whether you are on a bumpy road or using your exhaust brake down a hill, Air Force will only apply the brakes in the towed vehicle when you apply the brake in the coach.  The braking in the towed vehicle mirrors the coach WITHOUT any complicated adjustments.  Inertia-based systems simply cannot offer this level of simplicity and consistency.  Using deceleration to determine braking is progressive, using the action of your foot on the brake pedal and the associated amount of air is proportionate.

Chassis Approved Air Tap In

Air Force One
uses an approved air tap in method so you will not affect the warranty on your air brakes. DOT and FMVSS (Federal Vehicle Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) #121 require supplemental brake systems to have a separate air tank (ping tank) and a separate valve to control the supplemental system. All other air brake systems take air off of the rear wheels to apply the supplemental brake which can impact your warranty. Spartan requires a separate valve and ping tank to maintain your warranty which you must purchase separately with any other air brake. Only Air Force One meets the regulations and only Air Force One includes everything you need.

Coach Notification

Many systems have no signal at all and others generate the signal from activation.  The best signal for you to know when the brakes are on in the towed vehicle is from the brake light switch.  Air Force One includes a simple LED light that mounts on your tow bar.  The light turns on when the brakes are applied in the tow car.  If the light is on, the brakes are on.  You want to know if the brakes are on, not simply if the system is cycling.  The Super Bright LED’s will let you know when the brakes are on.  Radio signals are not as dependable as a wire especially in the newer diesel
rigs.  Air Force One lets you know what you need to know, when you need to know it!

The legacy electrical connections on the market today, including the J560 used on commercial trucks and 6-pin connectors traditionally used in the equestrian market, require an oversized pin to be forced into a socket so that a zero clearance situation occurs for electricity to be able to pass from socket to pin. Each time this style of connector is cycled, the socket and pin are abraded, and as a result a voltage drop across the connector occurs and increases with cycles. Active circuits can be harmful to the configuration since arcing occurs between the socket and pins, which welds them together or causes an open circuit.

The 7-blade RV connector’s design addresses this issue using blades with an interference fit, which are still subject to abrasion if connected/disconnected with the power on. EZ Connector’s patented EZ-U7PHD, on the other hand, uses spring-loaded face-to-face contacts so that drawbacks such as arcing and socket/pin abrasion from frequent cycling are eliminated. The combination of spring-loaded pins and fixed contacts also allows for electricity to easily pass from socket to plug and mitigates problems such as voltage dropping due to increased cycling and the resulting open-circuiting of brakes and lights.

The covers, which act as the latching mechanisms on the 7-blade RV connector and 6-pin round, provide some level of protection from the elements when not in use. But, that protection is limited. The most recent version of the 7-blade RV connector does have a rubber gasket inside the cap, however, when the trailer and vehicle are connected together, even the best models are then subject to water and salt intrusion, and ultimately corrosion. The EZ Connector solution tackles this issue head-on since it is waterproof when connected as well as not, because of its double o-ring seals. In fact, boaters with waterproof lights can back the EZR7 into the water without problem based on this feature.

In addition, the covers on the 7-blade RV and 6-pin connectors are the cause of numerous wiring problems later on. Many users report negative experiences involving having the wiring torn between the vehicle and trailer because of driving away without unhooking the lights. Moreover, this scenario leads to additional poor connections as a result of lousy patch jobs after one of these incidents.

Because EZ Connector uses neodymium magnets to hold the plug and socket together rather than a latch, this does not occur. In addition, the sheer strength of these magnets provides additional support for keeping the plug and socket affixed in a variety of situations including vibrations, abrupt movements and bumpy road conditions.

The X-Chock tire locking chock is designed for tandem axel travel trailers and fifth wheels and provides added stabilization and prevents the tires from shifting.   By applying apposing force to your trailer’s tires the innovative design works with the tires natural movement instead of against them.  This locking force keeps the tires from shifting while in use and provides a more stable foundation, leading to a more enjoyable camping experience.  The X-Chock gives you added stabilization you expect in most any RV tandem axle tire application.

The Quickbite Trailer Coupler uses an Automatic Dual Jaw Locking System to couple your trailer to the vehicle making it the easiest and safest hitching system ever built. When the vehicle’s ball enters the trailer coupler, a set of inner jaws automatically close around the ball. These jaws are then captured by a torsion spring loaded locking outer jaw making it all but impossible for the ball to escape. When exiting, the user releases the locking pin, lifts the outer jaw and simply drives away. This unique system eliminates the need to raise your trailer above the ball which is less stressful for the user and eliminates coupler/ball hang-ups that plague owners.

The Quickbite Safety Coupler utilizes a 5″ horizontal and increased vertical capture area for the ball mount. There is no need to have the coupler vertically or horizontally lined up with the ball. When the majority of the ball is within the capture area, it rides its way into the internal jaws which then automatically close and lock. The system is also able to couple the trailer at vertical and horizontal angles.

The photos below show the Quickbite Safety Coupler’s patented ” ALIGNMENT ROD SYSTEM”. These fiberglass rods serve as an optional sighting device for the driver in regard to the location of the Quickbite Trailer Coupler to the ball mount. Their unique location in the jaw tips notify the driver of closure, because as the jaws move together so do the rods. These telescopic rods extend up to four feet high and are easily removed for storage. They come standard with every QuickBite Coupler.

Quickbite’s design makes it all but impossible for the trailer coupler to come loose and impossible to move the trailer unless it is properly locked. Therefore, you no longer have to worry if you have a good connection or not.
