STOP CRANKING! AND REPLACE THE CRANK!

USE A BATTERY OPERATED DRILL OR SCREWDRIVER WITH A SOCKET JENIE USED ON POP- UP ROOF CAMPER JACKS AND 5TH WHEEL OR STABILIZER JACKS
THE QUICK WAY TO LOWER OR RAISE YOUR CAMPER ROOF OR JACKS

Several years ago it became apparent that the down sizing of the American vehicles was destined to cause the pop up trailer to increase in demand. A study was initiated to see if hydraulics or other convenience devises could be developed for this part of the RV industry. The result was the development of a miniature hydraulic system to level the fold down camper, a variation of the hydraulic system to raise the roof on the pop up vehicle, and a family of special sockets to raise and lower the roof and stabilizer jacks. Variations of the Socket Jenie product line also will operate levelers and jacks for 5th wheel and truck insert campers.

As the dealers and customers requested sockets for other applications, the original design evolved into a combination roof and stabilizer jack design, rear 5th wheel leveling jacks, travel trailer scissor jacks, and truck camper insert jacks. The socket is made from a single piece of steel, and the stem has been specially machined to eliminate slipping in the rill chuck. Due to the rugged construction of the socket, it has a lifetime warranty.

To use the sockets that raise and lower the pop up camper roof, a drill with a 1/2″ chuck is required. For other sockets the stem is designed identical to the roof socket, however the size of the stem has been reduced to fit a 3/8″ drill chuck. STARCRAFT POP-UP MODELS
The Socket Jenie family of sockets designs grows everyday with the help and criticisms of everyday people. The newest socket will fit any Starcraft produced prior to 2002 that has an oval shaped crank socket. This design is similar to other sockets that raises and lowers the roof, and requires a ½” drill chuck. It is made from a single piece of steel, and has a special machined shank that will not slip in the drill chuck. Other sockets we offer will fit Viking, Clipper, Rockwood, Venture, Coleman Pop-Up Campers, stabilizer jacks, & more.

This model is still used for some models of the Trailmanor expandable travel trailer. The bent end is inserted into a hole in the end of the tube in which it is attached to the screw thread of the jack. See LVSG-750 for the newer style that uses a ¾” drive nut that replaces the tube. Known brands that use the ¾” hex drive: Fleetwood, Keystone, Trailmanor, Jayco, Coachmen, Forest River, and National.

SOCKET JENIE LVSG-630 for fold down trailers that use “BAL” screw stablizer jacks. This socket requires a 3/8” drill chuck, and can be used with a 110V or battery operated drill. Fits the small BAL type stabilizer jack the uses an acme screw to move it from and return it to the stored position. Due to the pitch of the screw threads the use of this socket with a drill moves the jack extremely fast, and caution should be used when returning it to the storage position. Because of the jack geometry and the momentum of the drill motor it will snap back into the storage position, potentially breaking the ears of the socket. A general drill would be: 110V drill should not be less than 5 amp, while a battery powered drill should be 24V. Due to the wide variety of roof system designs used for fold down camper vehicles, the general recommendations may not be required for your specific vehicle. It is recommended that the 110V or cordless drill have the extra front mounted handle to control the torque required to raise or lower the roof. Note that if your vehicle has screw-down stabilizer jacks this socket has designed as a multi-purpose tool. Use your drill to also quickly raise or lower the jacks into position. Caution::::When using the drill to raise the jacks, do not permit the jack to snap shut, it may break the socket ends or cause serious injury to the operator. Known brands that use the GOSHEN lift system: Viking and Coachmen units built prior to 2005, Dutchmen built in 2000, and Starcraft and Flagstaff units built after 2004.

This socket will also fit some newer models; therefore it is necessary that the amount of crank inserted into the camper body be carefully measured. This socket has a body length of slightly more than 5”, with 1” additional extension to fit into the drill chuck.

Known brands using this socket: Fleetwood, Keystone, Jayco, Coachmen, Forest River, Palimino truck campers, and National.
