FILLING AND HOOK INSTRUCTIONS

Step A: This is the way you receive your Water Softener from “On The Go™”. It has the female adaptor on the inlet side that you can connect your incoming water hose to and a male hose adaptor on the outlet side that you can connect your outgoing water hose or flow meter. Step B: Connect hose to water supply and to softener inlet side. Step C: Flush system of softener by running water through the unit for five to ten minutes. Note: The softener does not require salt or regeneration when received. Unit contains Cation Exchange Resin which is light amber to black spherical beads-DO NOT REMOVE. Step D: Next, thread on flow meter to outlet. The minimum specification flow rate is 2 gallons/min and is required for the unit to meter water flow. Step E: Connect white drinking water hose to the male hose adaptor on the outlet side or flow meter if used and to RV water supply inlet connection. Step F: Set dial on flow meter to your selected set point between 300 to 700 gallons [This setting will vary based upon hardness of water source]. See insert “Options For Portable Water Softener Hookup” for detailed instructions.

REGENERATING INSTRUCTIONS Step #1: Shut off water supply and unhook outlet side connectors from your RV. Note: During the regeneration process only, discharge water {con- taining salt and mineral concentration} into a drain or gravel. Step #2: Unscrew and remove cap from softener head. Step #3: Pour approximately one (1) pound or one (1) box of table salt into softener tank. Replace cap securely. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Make sure cap o-ring is properly seated and seating areas are free from foreign material, apply silicone lubricant to surface of o-ring if necessary. Step #4: Turn on water supply, rinse for about 15 mins. Pressure needs to create a “pencil” size water stream. Once water has NO salt taste, regeneration is complete. Step #5: Re-connect outlet connection to your RV. Reset flow meter dial to your desired set point. The unit will now produce up to 700 gallons of soft water. Enjoy another 300 to 700 gallons of soft water.
